Suspending a Batch

You can suspend a batch before processing is completed. This postpones the processing of the batch without sending it to the next module in the queue.

When suspending one or more batches, note that validation and verification operators have the option to save all of the current field values of the documents and folders of each batch, even if those fields are invalid (empty). For details, see Allow batch suspension with invalid fields.

You can open and process other batches while the current batch is suspended.

  1. On the Home tab, in the Batch group, click Suspend.

A confirmation dialog box appears, asking if you are sure you want to suspend the batch.

You may enter a comment about this suspension in the Comment for Suspension field within this dialog box. The comment you enter is displayed in the History tab of the Batch Properties window. For details, see Batch Properties Window - History Tab.

  2. Click Yes to suspend the batch, or No to cancel the suspension.

To resume processing, open the batch.
