Starting the Database Utility

The Database Utility is located in the Bin folder, and it is run from a command prompt. You can start the Database Utility by opening a command prompt window and typing DBUtil, or by using the procedure below.

  • For client/server configurations, you can run the Database Utility from any Tungsten Capture workstation.

  • For standalone installations, you can run the Database Utility from the standalone workstation.

If the User Profiles feature has been enabled, the Database Utility can only be run by a user having the "Allow admin utility usage" privilege.

  1. Open a Command Prompt window.
  2. Navigate to <Tungsten Capture installation folder>\Bin.

    Server installation example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Tungsten\CaptureSS\ServLib\Bin

  3. Double-click DBUtil.exe.

    The Tungsten Capture Database Utility is opened to the Database tab.
