Creating and editing destinations
Configure a destination to indicate where to submit jobs after they are processed. Destinations are not available on the Local Client when it is disconnected from the server.
The following destination types are installed with Kofax Front Office Server:
-
CMIS: Submits jobs to a CMIS-compliant content management system.
-
Coversheet: Submits jobs using a coversheet that includes destination and field data encoded in bar codes. Coversheets are generated with the Thin Client.
-
Email: Submits jobs to email recipients.
-
Fax: Submits jobs to fax recipients.
-
Folder: Submits jobs to a certain folder.
-
Inbox: Submits jobs to another Kofax Front Office Server user.
-
Kofax Capture: Submits jobs to Kofax Capture for further processing.
-
Microsoft SharePoint: Submits jobs to a Microsoft SharePoint document repository.
For each destination type, you can specify scan settings and the format of images exported to the destination. You can control user access to destinations by associating them with device profiles and user groups.
-
Associating a destination with device profiles: Destinations associated with a device profile (called "global" destinations) are available to all users of the MFP without requiring users to log on.
-
Associating a destination with a group: Destinations associated with a group are only available to the members of the group, and they are only visible after the user logs on to the MFP or the Thin Client.
There are four classes of destinations: global, group, direct, and personal.
