Configure the resource extensions settings

  1. On the Home page, click System Settings > Settings.
    The Settings page appears.
  2. Click the Resource Extensions tab.
  3. In the Name box, enter a name for the field, such as National Insurance Number.
    Note Resource Extensions support names with multiple words and spaces.
  4. On the Type list, select a type for the field, such as String.
    Note Extension fields only support Boolean, Date, Numeric, and String data types.
  5. Enter or select a Value for the field.
  6. Click Add Add. The field is added to all resources.
  7. Similarly, define other fields.
    Note There is no limit to number of fields for resource extensions.
  8. To remove an extension field:
    1. Click Delete Delete for the field to delete.
    2. Click Yes to confirm deletion.

      The extension is removed from all resources.

  9. You can delete all defined resource extensions and associated information from the system. This helps in clearing down the values stored against resources and fields, and also allows importing different extensions. To delete the resource extension settings:
    1. Click Remove All Defined Extensions.
    2. Click Yes to confirm deletion.

      All resource extension fields and any information stored against each resource in the system are deleted.

  10. Click Save.
