Add a deployment configuration to a package

Define deployment configuration for a package by updating the base values of server variables, global variables, web service integrations, device settings (Kofax Front Office Server settings), transformation settings and export connector settings for a deployment target, such as production environment.

  1. On the Home page, click Packages > Package.
    The Package page appears.
  2. To create a deployment package, click the Deployment Configuration tab.
  3. Enter a Name and Description for the deployment package.
  4. Click Configure.
    The server variables, global variables, web service integrations, and device settings available within the package are displayed in their respective tabs. You can define a different value for these items.
  5. To define a different value for a global variable, do the following:
    1. Select the Global Variables tab.
      The list of items available within the selected tab is displayed.
    2. Under Action column, click Update for the global variable to update.
    3. Change the Value as required and click OK.
  6. To define a different value for a server variable, do the following:
    1. Select the Server Variables tab.
      The list of items available within the selected tab is displayed.
    2. Under Action column, click Update for the server variable to update.
      The list of items available within the selected tab is displayed.
    3. Change the Value as required and click OK.
  7. To define a different value for a web service, do the following:
    1. Select the Web Services tab.
    2. Under Action column, click Update for the web service reference to update.
    3. Specify the URL that references the web service.
    4. To change the web service execution location without regenerating the web service proxy DLLs, click Yes for Endpoint URL and enter the endpoint URL.

      Note The Endpoint URL must be the location of the web service and not the WSDL link. Use an Endpoint URL only for SOAP and WCF. Endpoint URL does not support RESTful web services.

    5. Enter User Credentials (Username and Password) to control access to the web service and not just restrict access to the configured TotalAgility Enterprise services account.
    6. Click OK.
  8. To overwrite the value of a device setting, do the following:
    1. Select the Device Settings tab.

      The device settings that can be overridden, and their default values are displayed. These settings may be different between deployment targets.

    2. Under Action column, click Update for the device setting to update.
    3. Select the Override check box.
    4. Change the Value as required and click OK.

      The Device Settings tab displays the updated setting in green color.

  9. To define a different value for the transformation setting, do the following:
    1. Select the Transformation Settings tab.

      The Transformation settings that can be overridden, and their default values are displayed. These settings may be different between deployment targets.

    2. Under Action column, click Update for the setting to update.
    3. Change the Value as required and click OK.

      The Transformation Settings tab displays the updated setting in green color.

  10. To define a different value for the export connector setting, do the following:
    1. Select the Export Connectors tab.

      The export connector settings that can be overridden, and their default values are displayed. These settings may be different between deployment targets.

    2. Under Action column, click Update for the export connector setting to update.
    3. Click Yes to Override.
    4. Change the Value as required.
      Note To update the same value for all the instances of the setting with the same connector type and property, select the Update {Property} value for all instances check box.
    5. Click OK.

      The Export Connectors tab displays the updated setting in green color.

  11. Click Close.

    The Package page appears.

  12. Click Add Generic Add.
    The deployment configuration is added.
  13. Click Save.

    The deployment configuration is saved with the package.
