Entering data in fields
When entering data in fields to send a job, note the following:
-
An asterisk (*) indicates a required field.
-
If you press Tab to move from a required field without providing a value, an error message appears to the right of the field.
-
If you press Enter, the Thin Client automatically tries to send the job (not applicable if you are creating a coversheet.)
-
If you press Esc, any entries are canceled, and the Submit or Creating Coversheet window closes.
-
If you press Ctrl+Enter in a field that can accommodate multiple lines of text, a new line is created for the next line of text. (Not applicable if you are creating a coversheet.)
The Thin Client can verify that you have entered the correct type of data (such as entering numbers in a numeric field). If the data is not the correct type, an error may appear.
Some fields have options for selecting values:
-
If a field has predefined values, click the arrow button at the end of the field and select a value from the list.
-
If the field has a button to the right, click it to select a value from the window.
-
If this a date field, click the Open calendar button to the right of the field to select a date.
