Installing the Local Client
Install the Local Client to work locally on your computer when the server is not available. When server availability is restored, data on the Local Client is synchronized with the Thin Client to keep both up to date.
The Kofax Front Office Server supports access through a number of browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer, and the latest versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. See the Technical Specifications for the latest information about supported versions.
Before installing the Local Client:
-
Log on to your computer as a user with administrator privileges.
-
Install the full .NET Framework 4.7 on your computer. Contact your administrator for assistance. If you do not already have this installed, you have the option to install it during Local Client installation.
-
If you are using Firefox or Chrome, install ClickOnce Helper. Contact your administrator for assistance. If you do not already have this installed, you have the option to install it during Local Client installation.
-
If you are using a self-signed certificate, ensure that the certificate (or its certificate authority if one was used) is installed in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store on your computer.
-
Add Kofax Front Office Server to your list of trusted sites.
To install the Local Client from the Thin Client:

Close.
You can close the Thin Client and start the Local Client.
If the installation fails, refer to the log file specified in the status window. Open the file and review the errors that prevented installation.
