Why am I unable to scan from Kofax Front Office Server Thin Client?

Make sure you have done the following:

  • Connected a TWAIN-compatible scanner and the necessary drivers.

  • Installed the Kofax Web Scanning Control on your computer. You are prompted to install it the first time you click Settings or Scan. If you have administrator rights on the computer, you can install it yourself. If you don't have administrator rights, ask the administrator to install it for you.

  • Have your Kofax Front Office Server administrator assign permissions to use the feature.

  • Click Settings to select the scanner and configure its settings. For more information, see Setting up to scan from the Thin Client.

How can I use the Thin Client if I do not have a consistent connection to Kofax Front Office Server?

Install the Local Client, which enables you to work with jobs when Kofax Front Office Server is not available. When the connection is reestablished, jobs are synchronized, and the Local Client remains connected to Kofax Front Office Server as long as the connection is available.
