Database search window with a single search field

This window enables you to type one or more search keywords in a single editable field. If the search is configured to use data already on the document, clicking on the

Separate search keywords with a space, comma, or semicolon. You can increase your search results by typing additional keywords. You can also use partial keywords.

Tip Depending on what type of database is configured for this search, it may be possible to use standard operators to narrow your results, but only for numeric and date database columns.

Keyboard Shortcut Description
Up Arrow Navigates to the row above the current position, including the search field
Down Arrow Navigates to the row below the current position, including the search field
Enter Selects a search record and closes the window
Esc Closes the window

The following buttons are available on the window:

Search

Performs a search and returns a list of records

OK

Overwrites existing data with the selected record values

Cancel

Closes the window without updating any fields

Displays the Help for this window
