Move pages, documents, and folders

If a batch contains a page, document, or folder that is located in the wrong position in the batch, you can move it to the correct position.

You can rearrange the page order of a document, rearrange the document order in a batch, move pages between documents, move pages to a new document, and reorganize the folders. Select multiple pages or a single document or folder, and reorder by dragging the item to the desired location.

While dragging a folder, document, or one or more pages, the Allowed Allowed icon icon as well as a dotted line is displayed to indicate where you can drop the item. The Not allowed Not Allowed icon icon is displayed where the item cannot be dropped.

If you are moving pages, folders, or documents from one location to another location that is not visible in the Batch Content pane, drag the item onto the Batch Content pane and while holding the mouse button, do one of the following depending on your Web browser:

Internet Explorer

Drag the selected items to the top or bottom of the Batch Content pane. The list will automatically scroll up or down so you can see the rest of the tree.

Firefox

Use your mouse wheel to scroll up and down the batch to locate the desired location.

Tip Ensure you validate all folder fields before moving the final document out of a folder, as an empty folder is not deleted automatically. This ensures that you do not have any invalid folder fields that cannot be validated. Alternatively, you can delete an invalid empty folder.
  1. In the Batch Content pane, select the page, document, or folder you want to move.
  2. Drag the page, document, or folder and drop it at the desired location.
