Override invalid fields

If you are unable to validate a field, you may be able to override it and force it to be valid.

A field may need to be forced valid for any of the following examples:

  • An image is illegible and you are unable to read the field value.

  • There is no value for the field on the document.

  • The correct value of the field on the document fails validation.

For example, a date of birth field has a validation that says the person filling in the field must be no more than 100 years old. When you look at the form, the typed value is "1872." Typing this value causes a validation error, yet it is the correct value.

If you override a field, it is marked with the Override Field Forced Valid icon icon.

Note Once a field is forced valid, it cannot be reverted. As a result, Kofax recommends that you do not override a field and force it to be valid unless there is no other option.
  1. Select the field using your keyboard or mouse.
  2. Type Ctrl + Enter or use the toolbar option.

The Override Field icon is shown for that field if you want to revisit it later.
