Managing Desktop Productivity Add-ins

Use this procedure to activate or deactivate the Desktop Productivity add-ins. During installation, all of the add-ins are activated by default. When you activate an add-in for a Microsoft Office application, a Kofax VRS tab appears in that application. When you activate the add-in for Microsoft Windows, Fast Scan and Scan with Preview options are available from the context menu when you right-click from your Windows Desktop or a folder in File Explorer.

The Desktop Productivity add-ins are supported for use only with Microsoft Office for Windows Desktop or the Microsoft Windows Desktop platform.

You may need elevated administrative privileges to activate or deactivate add-ins from the Desktop Productivity panel in the Administration Console.
  1. Open the Administration Console and click Desktop Productivity.
  2. From the Desktop Productivity panel, select or clear check boxes to activate or deactivate the add-ins individually.
  3. Click Save.
