Scan to Microsoft Excel

The Desktop Productivity add-in for Microsoft Excel gives you the ability to scan and save document images or OCR text into an active Excel Workbook.

For example, if you are creating a budget or forecast, you can scan supporting documents and save them on separate tabs in the same workbook for easy reference.

When the add-in is active, the Kofax VRS tab is available from the ribbon when you create or open an Excel Workbook. From the Kofax VRS tab, the following scan options are available:

  • Fast Scan: Quickly scan using a predefined profile and insert document images or OCR text into Excel.
  • Scan with Preview: Scan using a predefined profile and preview the results before saving document images or OCR text to Excel.
