Activating a License
- Make sure that your VRS license information is available.
- Open the Administration Console and click License.

On the
License panel, in the
User Identification group, enter or verify the following:

Name: Type your full name.

Company: Type the name of your company.

Email: Type your email address.

- In the Product Identification group, review the Version, Scanner, and Machine ID, which are automatically detected. You cannot edit these values.

In the
License Informationgroup, refer to the license information issued when you purchased
VRS
and enter the following:

Part Number: Type the part number assigned to your VRS license.

Serial Number: Type the serial number assigned to your VRS license.

Product Code: Type the product code assigned to your VRS license.

Click
Activate.
Kofax uses your email address to send a message containing a link to the product activation Web page.
If VRS is unable to connect to the license server to activate the license, use another computer with an Internet connection to do so. See Activating a License Without an Internet Connection.

Open the email message from
Kofax
and click the link to launch the product activation Web page in your default browser. If you do not click the link, you
can temporarily use
VRS
during the specified grace period. If you do not activate the license before the grace period lapses, a stamp is applied
to scanned images. Image stamping is discontinued as soon as you activate the license.
On the Kofax product activation Web page, you are notified that the email address is verified and the activation code appears in the browser window. Make a note of the code for future reference.
- Return to the License panel on the Administration Console and click Activate again.
