Scan to Microsoft Word

The Desktop Productivity add-in for Microsoft Word gives you the ability to scan and insert document images or OCR text directly into an active Word document.

For example, you can embed scanned images (receipts, product specification sheets, and more) into a report or correspondence.

When the Microsoft Word add-in is activated, a Kofax VRS tab is available from the ribbon when you create or open a Word document. From the Kofax VRS tab, the following scan options are available:

• Fast Scan: Quickly scan using a predefined profile and insert document images or OCR text into your Word file.
• Scan with Preview: Scan using a predefined profile and preview the results before saving document images or OCR text to your Word file.
