Scan to Microsoft Outlook
The Desktop Productivity add-in for Microsoft Outlook gives you the ability to scan and save document images and OCR text to a file attached to an Outlook email message.
For example, you can scan and automatically attach a document (price quote, contract, expense report receipt, and more) as a PDF file while composing an email message.
When the Microsoft Outlook add-in is activated, a Kofax VRS tab is available from the ribbon when you create or open an email message. From the Kofax VRS tab, the following scan options are available:
- Fast Scan: Quickly scan using a predefined profile and save document images or OCR text to a file attached to your email message.
- Scan with Preview: Scan using a predefined profile and preview the results before saving document images or OCR text to a file attached to your email message.
The
Fast Scan and
Scan with Preview options are not available in Outlook Reading Mode.
