Kofax VRS Administration Console

The Kofax VRS Administration Console (Administration Console) consists of settings on several panels for managing your VRS installation. To access the Administration Console, see Updating Administration Console Settings.

In addition to the options listed below, the Kofax VRS Administration Console also provides a Profiles panel which you can use to create, view, and manage your scan profiles. To access the Profiles panel, use the Profile toolbar on the Kofax VRS Interactive Viewer.

The availability of some Administration Console panels may vary, depending on your product license. For information about individual panels, click the links in the table below.

Administration Console

Panel Description
1. Preferences Set preferences related to Kofax VRS Elite demo mode, multicore processing, the display language, and the Kofax VRS Administration Console log file path.
2. Exceptions Manages how Kofax VRS responds to warnings and errors that may occur under specific image or scanner exception conditions.
3. Auto Profile Enables the Auto Profile training mode and manages the Auto Profile training document set.
4. License Manages your Kofax VRS license.
5. Scanner Configuration Manages and configures the default scanner to use with Kofax VRS.
6. Device Health Monitors the health status of the default scanner.
7. Desktop Productivity Extends Kofax VRS scanning functionality to commonly used Microsoft Office applications, as well as your Windows Desktop or File Explorer.
8. About Displays the Kofax VRS license level, status, and version number.
