Modify segments in an existing GL account structure

It is possible to change the Segment or the name for a segment that is visible to users. This is useful if the segment changes, or the name itself is causing confusion.

You can change an existing GL code segment by following these steps.

  1. Open the Kofax AP Agility workspace as an Administrator.
  2. From the Settings menu, select GL Account Structures.

    A list of existing GL account structures is displayed.

  3. Click on the link for the structure that contains segments that require editing.

    The selected structure is displayed with a list of its segments.

  4. From the segment table, click on the segment that you are editing and perform the following steps.

    The structure is displayed in an editable format below the table and the Update button is available.

    1. If necessary, select a new Segment from the list.

      Select a segment that is not used already.

    2. If necessary, edit the Visible Name
    3. Click Update.

    The selected segment is updated.

  5. Repeat the above step for all steps that require editing.
  6. Click Close.

    Your segments are saved and you are returned to the GL Account Structures page.
