Device Web Server (DWS) is used with AutoStore, Equitrac, and Output Manager when deploying embedded clients, including the Kofax Unified Client. DWS manages and controls embedded applications on web-based devices, and supports client interactions with the devices.

When a user accesses a Unified Client application on a web-based device, the device sends the request to the DWS. The request is processed by ControlSuite and is sent back to the device.

DWS is installed with ControlSuite, either on its own server or along with other components.
