VersaLink properties
- Log on to the device as a user with administrator privileges.
- Click the Properties tab.
Continue with the procedures for the different types of settings.
VersaLink SNMP settings
- Select Connectivity.

Click
SNMP.
The SNMP window appears.
- Click SNMPV3.
-
In the
SNMPV3 window that appears, complete the following settings:
- Turn on Enable (Read).
- Turn on Write.
- Turn on System Administrator Account.
- For Message Digest Algorithm, select either MD5 or SHA-1. This must match the settings for the device in DRS.
- For Message Encryption Algorithm, select either DES or AES-128. This must match the settings for the device in DRS.
- Enter the user name, authentication password, and encryption password for the device administrator.
- Click OK.
VersaLink TLS and HTTPS

The SSL/TLS Settings window appears.

Select the following options:
- Select the versions of TLS for your network.
- Enable HTTP - SSL/TLS Communication.
- Click OK.

The HTTP window appears.

Complete the following settings:
- Select Enable HTTPS.
- Set HTTPS Port Number to 443.
- Click OK.
VersaLink EIP settings

Enable EIP web services by doing the following:
- Select Apps.
- Click the EIP Settings tab.
- In the Extensible Interface Platform section, locate the EIP Web Services row and click it.
- Make sure all web services are selected.
- Click OK.

Enable EIP applications by doing the following:
- Select Apps.
- Click the EIP Settings tab.
- In the Extensible Interface Platform section, locate the EIP Browser row.
- Make sure the EIP Browser is selected.
VersaLink device user permission settings
If you want to log onto the device as an administrator, perform the following steps. This procedure does not need to be performed for other users.

Create user roles by doing the following:
- Click .
- Select Device User Roles.
- Create user roles by clicking .
- Select Add New Role.

In the
Add Role window, select one of these options under
Control Panel Permissions:

Everything Except Setup: Users can access everything except setup and configuration functions.

Access All: Users can access all options.
-
Custom Permissions: Select the permissions to apply to the users. Click Setup and chose individual options and select Add or Hide to choose which options are visible to the users.
When you are finished, click Close.

- Under Device Website Permissions, select the options, which are the same as in step 1.e.
- Click OK to save the settings.

To modify roles for basic users, under the
Basic User section, click
Edit and do the following:
- Select Add New Role.
- Select options for Control Panel Permissions and Device Website Permissions, which are the same as in step 1.e.

Add users to the user roles by doing the following:

Under the desired device user role section, select
Members.
A list of the users that are currently assigned to that role appears.
- Click and select the users to add.

Under the desired device user role section, select
Members.
VersaLink DWS certificate acceptance

The Security Certificates window appears.

In place of
Device Certificates, select
Trusted Root CA Certificates.
Do not delete any of the other certificates installed on the device.
- Click Import and follow the instructions to install the certificate you exported from DWS.

Enable certificate validation as follows:
- Select .
- Enable Verify Server Certificates.
- Select .
- Set Level of Certificate Verification to Medium.
- Restart the device when prompted.
