Work breakdown structures

If this feature is enabled, you can assign a work breakdown structure to one or more line items.

Each time you select or use a work breakdown structure, it is added to the Recent Work Breakdown Structure Codes list. This list contains up to ten codes that are filtered by the invoice business unit and the user. This means that the list of Recent Work Breakdown Structure Codes for an invoice for one business unit differs from the list of Recent Work Breakdown Structure Codes for an invoice from a different business unit. This history of recent work breakdown structure means that you do not have to manually select a work breakdown structure and its segments every time.

However, if the list of recent work breakdown structures does not include the one that you need, you can assign a work breakdown structure to a line in several ways by clicking Choose WBS.

Also, depending on how your solution is configured it is possible that the work breakdown structure hierarchy populates automatically when a top-level value is selected. If a subsequent setting in the hierarchy has more than one choice, the automatic filling is paused until a selection is made.
