Applying Settings for Halftone Pictures

Use the Halftone Pictures settings to improve the appearance of pictures on black and white images.

  1. Scan a test black and white image and open the VRS Interactive Viewer.
  2. On the Image Quality tab, in the Black & White group, click the Halftone Pictures icon.
  3. Click the arrow next to Halftone Pictures.
  4. Do one of the following:

    • Move the slider toward Light if lightening the picture achieves the desired image quality.

    • Move the slider toward Dark if darkening the picture achieves the desired image quality.

    • Click in the Density box and enter a value.

  5. Adjust other settings or start scanning.
