User Profiles window - User Profiles tab
On the User Profiles tab, you can do the following:

Select the User Profiles feature for your Kofax Capture installation

Create, edit, copy, and delete user profiles

Create, edit, copy, and delete group profiles

Assign a default group profile for new batch classes

If the user launching the Administration module has access to user profiles but no access to the Administration module, the Kofax Capture Administration - User Profiles window appears. If the user has access to user profiles and the Administration module, the user goes directly to the Administration module with access to the User Profiles window. For more information, refer to User Profile Properties Window - General Tab.
Users
Each user profile in the system is displayed on this list, which includes the following key information from the User Profile Properties window:
- User ID

Kofax Capture login ID for the user. By default, the User ID list is sorted in alphabetical order.
- User Name
- Name of the user assigned to the profile.
- Description
-
Description of the user profile.
Groups
Each group profile in the system is displayed on this list, which includes the following key information from the Group Profile Properties window:
- Group
-
Name of the group profile.
- Description
-
Description of the user profile.
You can sort the items in the Users or Groups list in alphabetical order. To sort the list, click on either column heading. The column you select is sorted in alphabetical order; if you click on the column again, the items are sorted in reverse alphabetical order. By default, the list is sorted alphabetically.
Default user group for new batch classes
This is the group profile that is assigned automatic access to each new batch class created in the Administration module. You select the default group from the drop-down list.

Select the group that you want to assign access to new batch classes. The list includes the name for every group profile in the system, including (Everyone). The Everyone group consists of every user profile in the system, and it is the default selection. If you do not want to assign automatic access to new batch classes, select (none) from the drop-down list.
New button
Creates a profile.

Opens the User Profile Properties window.
- Group Profile

Opens the Group Profile Properties window.
Copy Button
Copies an existing user or group profile.

Select the user profile that you want to copy. Then click Copy to open the User Profile Properties window.
- Group Profile

Select the group profile that you want to copy. Then click Copy to open the Group Profile Properties window.
Edit button
Updates an existing user or group profile. You may decide to update the user ID and password for the built-in Administrator user profile to prevent linked users from having Administrator rights.
Delete button
Removes a user or group profile. Select the profile you want to remove and click Delete.
Link button
Links users and groups from the domain to Kofax Capture's user profiles. Use the Select Users or Groups window to select users or groups that are available in your network's domain.
As soon as you click Save, all profile assignments associated with the other Kofax Capture modules go into effect. Any assignments associated with the Administration module become effective when you close the current instance of the Administration module.
