Description |
---|---|
Front Picking Rectangle group |
|
Enabled |
Use the Front Picking Rectangle settings to select a portion of the front side of an image to be scanned or processed, effectively cropping out unwanted data. With simplex scanners, only the Front Side settings are available for the Picking Rectangle. |
Inches or Pixels |
Set the unit of measurement for the picking rectangle: inches or pixels. |
Top |
Distance from the top of the image. |
Left |
Distance from the left edge of the image. |
Width |
Width of the picking rectangle. |
Height |
Height of the picking rectangle. |
Front Rotation group |

Does not rotate the area enclosed in the picking rectangle. |
90 |
Rotates the area within the picking rectangle by 90 degrees. |
180 |
Rotates the area within the picking rectangle by 180 degrees. |
270 |
Rotates the area within the picking rectangle by 270 degrees. |
Front Delete Blank Page Threshold group |
|
Threshold |
Set to 0 for optimal results for use with VRS blank page detection. Otherwise, set the threshold value (in bytes) to use to determine if an image should be deleted during scanning. You can specify any value between 0 and 60,000 bytes. The threshold value indicates the minimum size in bytes the compressed image must be for it to be saved. For example, if you specify 1000 as a delete page threshold, any scanned image that contains fewer than 1000 bytes of data is considered a blank page and will not be saved. |
Back Picking Rectangle / Back Rotation / Back Delete Blank Page Threshold |
|
Enabled |
Select the check box to select preferences for the picking rectangle, rotation, and blank page threshold for the back side of each page. For details, see the preceding descriptions for the Front Side. Back side settings are available for duplex scanning only. |
Options group |
|
Prescan (cache) |
Number of pages to temporarily cache in memory before they are scanned. |
Page Timeout |
Number of seconds to elapse before a timeout occurs while attempting to process a page. A timeout may occur if bar code or patch code processing takes an excessive amount of time. |
