Quality Control Module Home Tab
Use the Home tab to access frequently used controls for creating a new batch or document, starting and stopping a scan operation, rotating pages, and reviewing documents.

Batch group |

Create |
Opens the Create Batch window, where you create a new batch. |

Open |
Opens the Open Batch window, where you select from a list of pending batches. |

Close |
Closes the current batch. The closed batch is sent to the next queue for processing. |

Suspend |
Postpones (suspends) processing of the current batch. You might want to suspend a batch to get more information about a batch, take a break, etc. A suspended batch is not reserved for a specific operator. Once it is suspended, it is available to all of the Scan stations. |
Scan group |

|
Scan |
Scans or imports a page. This option, available only when a batch is currently open, is useful for adding pages to the current batch. If you are importing images, the Import window appears, and you can select files. |

Scan All |
Scans or imports multiple pages. |
|
Stop |
Stops the scan operation. |
Front Sides |
Scans the front sides. |
|
Back Sides |
Scans the back sides. |
|
Edit group |
||
|
Delete |
Deletes the selected items in the batch tree, including folders. |
|
Reject |
Marks the selected pages as rejected. The Rejection Note window appears, and you can attach a rejection note to the page. Processing can continue, but the batch is sent to Quality Control module for further processing. The note stays with the page and is available to other operators (for example, the quality control operator) processing the page. |

Unreject |
Removes the Rejected status from the selected pages. |

Properties |
Opens the properties window of the selected object. For example, it displays the Page Properties window when a page is selected from the Batch Contents tree view tab. |
Rotate group |
||

90 Left |
Rotates the page 90 degrees to the left. |
|
90 Right |
Rotates the page 90 degrees to the right. |
Mode group |

Pan |
Used to drag the image to a position within the viewer. After selecting this tool, click in the image and drag to reposition it. |

Zoom |
Zooms or scales the display of images by selecting a zoom option. |
Page group |
||
|
Rescan |
Replaces the selected page. If you are importing images, the Import window appears, and you can select a file. If you are scanning, the pages in your scanner are scanned. |

VRS QC Later |
Opens the Kofax VRS window and automatically selects the “VRS QC Later” scan source. This source is selected in the Scan Source list before the Kofax VRS window appears. When you are done with VRS QC Later, you must manually select your original scan source in order to use it again. Your original setting is not restored. If the application is closed and restarted, the scan source is reset to the default value. |

Mark As Non-blank |
Marks a page that was detected as blank to
|

Review |
Review the page. |
Document group |
||
|
Split |
If a page (other than the first page of a document or a loose page) is selected, splits the document into two documents. The selected page becomes part of the second document. |
|
Merge |
Creates one document from the selected documents and pages. The new document uses the same document type as the original documents. |
|
Change Type |
If more than one form type exists in the document class, this option displays the Select Form Type window. From this window, you can change the form type of the document. If only one form type exists in a document class, the option is not available. |

Verify |
Checks that valid form types are identified for documents in the batch. With the Verify function enabled, you review each form type and select Enter to accept a valid form type and move to the next one. For an invalid form type, you have the option of rejecting it or using the Select Form Type window to select a valid form type. |
Folder group |
||
|
Change Class |
Selects a different folder class for the currently selected folder. |
|
Auto Foldering |
Allows you to immediately and automatically create folders based on the folder creation rules. |
