Quick Access Toolbar
The customizable Quick Access Toolbar provides access to the most frequently used commands.
- Open: Starts the Open dialog box.
- Save: Saves changes to the opened file or starts the Save As dialog box for new files.
- Undo: Reverses the last operation. See Basic group for details.
- Redo: Reverses the last Undo operation.
- Creates a new email from the active document.
- Click, then select Touch/Mouse Mode. In Touch Mode, the user interface keeps more space between controls.
- Click to open the
Customize Quick Access Toolbar menu. The menu shows the available Quick Access commands. Select or
clear a command to show or hide it on the
Quick Access Toolbar. The menu offers additional options:
- More Commands: Opens the Customization dialog box, where you can edit the Quick Access Toolbar and the Ribbon.
- Show Below the Ribbon: Select this option to move the Quick Access Toolbar under the Ribbon. The name of the option becomes Show Above the Ribbon.
- Show Above the Ribbon: Select this option to move the Quick Access Toolbar onto the application title bar. The name of the option becomes Show Below the Ribbon.
- Minimize the Ribbon: Select this option to hide the Ribbon content and show only the tab headings. Clear the selection to show the Ribbon again. See Hide and show tabs for more details.
