Skipping the scanning step during testing

When testing a scan profile , it is not always necessary to scan pages repeatedly. An EMC Captiva PixTools test driver is included in your SCAN CLIENT installation. You can use this driver when testing your setup. It imports image files, eliminating the need to scan pages during testing.

To do this, select the Fileimport driver instead of your scanner, under Scanner > Source > Scanner source.

Note: This driver is intended primarily for testing purposes and is not designed for production use. It has a limited set of features. Limitations:

Images are normally imported alphabetically by file name. However, under some conditions they are read in a different order.
If you select Delete Files in the driver's configuration dialog, all of the imported files are deleted except for the last one.
