Activating and accessing scan profiles

After creating a scan profile, editing it as desired, and granting users or user groups access to it, you must activate it and make it available on scan workstations.

Activating a scan profile

  1. Select Scan profiles > Scan profile management. The Scan profile management dialog is displayed.

  2. Right-click the scan profile and select Profile active.

Note: You must be an administrator to do this.

On other scan stations, create a shortcut to the scan profile

Create a shortcut to this scan profile on other workstations with the same scanner driver.

To do this on a scan station:

  1. Select Scan profiles > Scan profile management. The Scan profile management dialog is displayed.

  2. Right-click the scan profile and select Create shortcut. This adds it to the Scan profiles list in Scan control, so that it can be used for a scan process.

Any user who is has access rights to the scan profile, and who is at least a scan group leader, can do this.

To set a scan profile as the default one on a scan station

  1. Select Scan profiles > Scan profile management. The Scan profile management dialog is displayed.

  2. Right-click the scan profile and select Set default profile.

Note: You must be an administrator to do this.
