Correcting errors and restructuring batches
While scanning batches, you can make these types of changes if an administrator enabled this functionality.
There are shortcuts available for many of the actions described below.

Problem |
What to do |
|
An image, page, or sheet is in the wrong place. |
Select the item and drag it to the correct position. This can work on individual images or to entire sheets, depending on how the scope was specified. Note that structure-defining elements retain their properties even after moving. This means that a batch is restructured automatically after you move a structure-defining element. |
|
A sheet is incorrectly marked as a separator. |
Right-click it in the Batch viewer or Thumbnail viewer and select Change document splitting > Sheet is not a specific document splitter. |
|
The first sheet in a document is not marked as such. |
Right-click it in the Batch viewer or Thumbnail viewer and select Change document splitting > Sheet is document header. |
|
The last sheet in a document is not marked as such. |
Right-click it in the Batch viewer or Thumbnail viewer and select Change document splitting > Sheet is document trailer. |
|
I want SCAN CLIENT to reset (remove) the errors, which I intend to remedy myself. |
Right-click the top element in the Batch viewer and select Reset all batch errors. Or, reset individual errors. To do this, right-click the element with the error in the Thumbnail viewer and select Reset all batch errors. Errors that are not actually remedied will show up again when you execute the action(s) that created them. |
|
There is an error someplace, but I can’t find it. |
Right-click the top element in the Batch viewer and select Go to next error. Use Go to next error repeatedly to cycle through the errors. This includes errors reported by an exporter, by custom components, or by SCAN CLIENT itself – any errors that prevent closing the batch. In the Thumbnail viewer, a corresponding error text is displayed in table form. Error messages can be reset either one by one, or by using Reset all batch errors (see above). |
|
The batch is incorrectly structured. |
Right-click the batch in the Batch viewer or Thumbnail viewer and select Restructure batch to automatically restructure it based on specified splitting information. |
