Configuring a scanner's endorser

An endorser is a built-in printer in the scanner that prints a string of characters on each sheet as it is scanned. If your scanner has an endorser, you can enable it and endorse (or imprint) each page before or after scanning.

Use this procedure:

Select Scan profiles > Scan profile management. The Scan profile management dialog is displayed.
In the left pane, select a scan profile.
In the right pane, double-click Endorser. The Endorser configuration dialog is displayed.
Select Pre-endorser – Set by ReadSoft SCAN CLIENT to endorse sheets before scanning.

Alternatively, select Post-endorser – Set by ReadSoft SCAN CLIENT to endorse sheets after scanning.

(A third option is to configure the endorser in the settings of the connected scanner. This is beyond the scope of this help.)
Drag endorser string parts from the left side to the right side of the dialog and format them as described here.
Parts are added to the endorser string in the order in which they are listed in the right pane. If needed, change their order: Select a row, then click and drag the arrow symbol () to move the row into a different position.
Check the example at the bottom of the dialog to ensure that what you configured results in the endorser string you want.
