Adjusting logging preferences
SCAN CLIENT offers three types of logging. You can use two or three of them at once, if desired.

Select Logging > Event viewer.

Type a name for the event group. This helps you find the log details later.

Select the logging level.

Click to save your changes.

Select > .

Select Logging > File system.

Select .

Type a file name, including file extension.

Specify where log files are to be saved.

Select whether you want XML format or no formatting.

Select the logging level.

Optional: If the level is selected, select to record scanning and processing speed.

Click to save your changes.
Access to an XBOUND database is required for this.

Select Logging > Database.

Select .

Specify the name of the XBOUND database server.

Specify the port number of the Logging Service. By default, logging is provided on port 4445.

Select which type of binding to use.
The available options depend on how the XBOUND Logging Service is configured. Request the current settings from the XBOUND administrator.

Adjust how the Logging Service is to connect to the XBOUND database.

Click . If the connection fails, please contact the XBOUND administrator.

Select the logging level.

Click to save your changes.
