Specifying how batches are named
By default, SCAN CLIENT generates batch names using date and time in this format: YYYYMMDDhhmmss.
For example, a batch scanned on July 08, 2012 at 06:43:24 AM receives this name: 20120708064324.
You can adjust batch names in each scan profile. Use the below procedure.
You must be an administrator to do this.
-
Select > Scan profile management. The Scan profile management dialog is displayed.
-
In the left pane, select a scan profile.
-
In the right pane, double-click . This opens the Batch name dialog.
-
Batch names are typically generated from the barcode values from batch cover sheets. To use barcode values:
-
Barcode detection must be configured first. See instructions.
-
Drag Barcode value from Barcode extraction into the configuration area.
-
Optional: Set to in the dialog > .
In this case, if no barcode is found, an error message is displayed, and the scan operator can either type a barcode value manually or interrupt the scan process.
-
