The Configuration dialog: Administration settings

Use these settings to:

Manage Administrator permissions in SCAN CLIENT
Auto-close SCAN CLIENT
Close or delete batches automatically when SCAN CLIENT closes
Solve problems with slow startup.

Note: You must be an administrator to access these settings.

SCAN CLIENT authorization
Security dialog	Opens the Permissions for SCAN CLIENT dialog for managing Administrator permissions.
Auto close application (not active in admin mode)
Close application if no keystrokes after __ minutes	Closes SCAN CLIENT after a specified number of minutes of inactivity. Specify how many minutes. Specifying -1 deactivates the function. Note: This function does not apply if an administrator is logged in.
Automatic batch processing
Process batches automatically when SCAN CLIENT closes	When the user closes the program, a countdown message is displayed. The user has 15 seconds in which to click Cancel before the automatic processing begins. If Cancel is clicked, the program remains open and no processing is done.
Process batches that are older than __ minutes	Only batches that are older than the specified number of minutes are processed. Note: This setting is used only with the one above. It has no effect if Process batches automatically when SCAN CLIENT closes is not selected.
Do nothing	No changes are made.
Close/export all batches with Scanned status	All batches with Scanned status are closed – the same function as Close all batches.
Delete batches with Scanned status	All batches with Scanned status are deleted. Warning – data loss.
Preload scan profiles from temporary directory	Slow WAN environments can cause SCAN CLIENT to start slowly. If you select this option, scan profiles are saved in the user's temporary directory when the program is closed. Then when SCAN CLIENT is restarted, these profiles are loaded. This makes startup faster. When this option is selected, scan profiles are only loaded or synchronized with the database server at first use and when selected in the Scan profile management dialog.
