The Endorser configuration dialog

Use these settings to configure a scanner's endorser:

Pre-endorser – Set by ReadSoft SCAN CLIENT

Endorses sheets before scanning.

Post-endorser – Set by ReadSoft SCAN CLIENT

Endorses sheets after scanning.

Configure the endorser by the scanner settings dialog

Endorses sheets according to scanner settings (if any). Such settings are beyond the scope of this help.

Prefix

Adds a fixed string to the endorser string. After dragging Prefix to the right pane, click in the Format/Value column and type a string (letters and/or numbers).

Scanner date

Adds a placeholder for a date provided by the scanner. After dragging Scanner date to the right pane, click in the Format/Value column and select the desired date element. The elements are specific to your scanner and are beyond the scope of this help. Please refer to the documentation that was provided with your scanner.

Date scan station

Adds a placeholder for a date provided by the scan workstation. After dragging Date scan station to the right pane, click in the Format/Value column and select the desired date format.

Computer name

Adds the computer name to the endorser string.

System environment

Adds an element from the system environment to the endorser string. After dragging System environment to the right pane, click in the Format/Value column and select one of the options:

  • ACCUREV_USE_MOD_TIME

  • SESSIONNAME

  • USERDOMAIN – the domain of the logged-in user.

  • PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE – x86 or x64.

  • Computer name – the computer name.

  • windows_tracing_flags

  • FP_NO_HOST_CHECK

  • FPPUILang

  • USERNAME – the name of the logged-in user.

  • NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS

  • Platform – the Microsoft Windows version.

  • OnlineServices

  • PROCESSOR_LEVEL

  • PROCESSOR_REVISION

  • OOBEUILang

  • OS – operating system

Process counter scan station

Adds a counter that is specific to the scan workstation. After dragging Process counter scan station to the right pane, click in the Format/Value column and specify how many digits to include.

Global process counter

There is one global process counter per database. All clients that are connected to the database have access to this counter.

Sheet counter (scanner)

Adds a sheet counter that is specific to the scanner. After dragging Sheet counter (scanner) to the right pane, click in the Format/Value column and select a placeholder to specify how many digits to include. An example is displayed in the right column.

Sheet counter (scan station)

Adds a sheet counter that is specific to the scan workstation. After dragging Sheet counter (scan station) to the right pane, click in the Format/Value column and select a placeholder to specify how many digits to include. An example is displayed in the right column.

Note: Scan operators can edit this value during scanning by clicking in the Sheet counter box at the bottom of the screen. This is useful after a "Double feed detected" error, for example.

Format element

Adds formatting for the endorser elements that follow it. After dragging Format element to the right pane, click in the Format/Value column and select the desired formatting. Endorser elements that follow the format element will be formatted as you specified.

The format elements are specific to your scanner and are beyond the scope of this help. Please refer to the documentation that was provided with your scanner.
