Create an external resource

External resources are typically people outside the organization who participate in the process such as creating a new case or participating in tasks within the case.

Whereas every internal user is part of at least one group (default: Everyone) and then can be added to other groups, external resources cannot be added to any group; they can only participate as part of a process role. See Set up Roles.

Create an external resource: Incident Management User1

  1. On the TotalAgility Advanced Studio Home page, navigate to Resources > External resources and click New.

    The New external resource dialog box appears.

  2. In the Full name box, enter Incident Management User1 as the name of the external user.
  3. In the Password and Confirm Password box, enter Incidentmanagement1#.
  4. In the Email address box, enter IncidentManagementuser1@abc.com.

    You use this email address for login.

  5. In the Phone number box, enter 1234567891.
  6. On the Category list, select Incident Management.
  7. Click Save.

    Once the external resource is created, you will use this resource as part of your process and assign a task to it.
