Configure behavior when message import to Kofax Capture fails

  1. Start Message Connector Configuration from the Kofax Import Connector group in the Windows Start menu.
  2. Go to the General tab.
  3. To forward messages that could not be imported to Kofax Capture to an operator:

    1. In the Operator Email field, enter the email address.
    2. In the Email From field, enter the email address that should be used as the originator of the forwarded messages.

  4. Select Keep Failed to prevent deletion of messages that neither have been imported into Kofax Capture nor forwarded to an operator. These messages remain in the Message Connector storage until you manage them manually. Keeping the failed messages may cause the storage to run out of disk space and stop importing into Kofax Capture. For information on the recommended handling of such messages, see Manage failed messages manually.
  5. In the Storage Size field, enter the size of the Message Connector storage database. (Default: 100 MB, Maximum: 64000 MB).

    • We recommend that you do not decrease the value below the default 100 MB.

    • The minimum recommended value is the total size of documents received within 30 minutes during peak hours; preferably more.

    • Consider increasing the value, especially if you have not configured the Operator Email and selected the Keep Failed setting.

    • Excessively large and full storage might require several minutes to initialize.

  6. If you configured an Operator Email, you must update the values on the Email Outbound tab.

Get the required information from your email server administrator.

  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Exit and restart service.
