Receive shared documents and use the Share portal
To get started with PSIsafe Desktop Share, and to open, download, or upload content as needed, you must first familiarize yourself with the PSIsafe Desktop Share Portal.
The PSIsafe Desktop Share Portal is a web-based service used to receive and share documents with specific users set in your Share Address Book, and, as a receiver of shared content, to then access this content as needed.
The following topics are intended primarily for users receiving PSIsafe Share content, and explains how to activate your account and start using PSIsafe Share outside of PSIsafe Desktop.
Access the Share Portal
To access the PSIsafe Share portal, you can use any internet browser.
When you first share a document, an email is sent to the user. This email contains the user name and password with a link to the portal.
Clicking the link redirects the Share user to the PSIsafe Share Portal login page. Enter the user name and temporary password that was given in the email and click Login. You are prompted to enter in a new password. Sign in with this updated password. After logging in, you can see the standard PSIsafe Share portal interface.

This guide explains how to use folders, documents, and notes within the PSIsafe Share Portal.
- Share Portal folders

The Share Portal enables you to create and delete folders as necessary. Note that creation of new folders is not necessary, but may be helpful to group content more easily as both PSIsafe Desktop User and Share Receiver transmit content to one another.
To create a new folder, click Folders and select New Folder.
The Create Share folder window appears. Enter the new folder name and click OK.
The new folder appears in the Folders list.
To delete a folder, select the preferred folder and click . Confirm the deletion.
- Access documents and content
- Shared documents are sent to the
SHARES folder. To view
a document, double-click the document, or select the document and click
Download.
The document is opened in a browser or saved to the computer and opened with the default program for that document file type.

- Select the preferred item and click Download.
- Upload content to Share

To upload content to PSIsafe Desktop Share, click Upload.
The upload window appears. Click Select Files to browse to the content to upload, select a folder name if applicable, and then select the user to share your content with. In most cases, a single user appears in the Share With list. Add any notes applicable to your upload and select Upload.
After your upload is complete, you can see your content appear in the Share folder you specified.

- Notes can be a helpful way for the
PSIsafe Desktop
Share Sender and the Share Portal User (Receiver) to communicate
quickly and easily about specific content hosted on Share. The Notes section is
located below the content list.
To add a note, select the content to which you want to add a note, then type in a note, and click Add Note. The note appears in the Notes list section.
