Drag content through Explorer

PSIsafe Desktop has a built-in Explorer pane on the left side of the window that you can enable in PSIsafe Desktop Management. After enabling it in both the PSIsafe Desktop Management and Client options, you can drag content directly from this pane into an active Document List or directly into a folder in the Folder pane.

The table below describes drag and drop options.

The following table contains a breakdown exactly where you can drag and drop content to the Speedbar which is located at the bottom of the Cabinets browser at all times.

  1. To enable Explorer in PSIsafe Management, log in to PSIsafe Management as an administrator or another authorized user.
  2. In the User Settings > Users section, select a user from the list and click Edit.

    Click Finish when complete and enable Explorer within the PSIsafe DesktopcClient options.

  3. Log in to PSIsafe Desktop client as the user who needs to enable Explorer. On the General tab, click Options and select the Display File Explorer check box. Click Save.

    The Explorer pane appears on the left side within the PSIsafe Desktop client.

  4. Select and open the appropriate repository and cabinet on the left side of the screen. Select and open the preferred folder from the list.
  5. In the Explorer window, double-click the drive or location to open. Locate the content you need and drag it into the Folders pane, or to the Document List pane of an active folder. You can also drag multiple files at the same time.
  6. After dragging the appropriate content, the Filer window appears. For more information on how to fill out the tabs, see Document Filer window.
  7. Finish filing the content and click File.

    The content appears in the original active folder.
