Adjust Filer monitored directory

The PSIsafe Desktop Document Filer tray application runs in the bottom-right of your Windows task tray next to other program tray icons.

To ensure that this program launches automatically when logging on as a valid Windows user, go to PSIsafe Desktop Client and click Options > Other > Set Filer Startup Key in Registry. This option ensures that your Windows account will start the Document Filer tray application when logging into Windows.

In the event that the default monitored directory is inaccessible, or you want to adjust this to a new location, you can perform the following steps.

  1. Right-click the task tray icon for PSIsafe Desktop Filer.
  2. Click Path to monitor.

    By default, this path is set to the PSIsafe Desktop AppData folder used for several other PSIsafe Desktop functions.

  3. To adjust the path, click Browse or type in the path manually.
    Any files that you drop into this location will open a Filer window. These files are removed upon successful completion of the Filer process.
