Add an Email node

You can easily send an email from within a workflow solution.

Procedure

  1. On the Workflow tab, select below the Start node or any other node.

    The Add activity dialog box is displayed.

  2. On the Type list, select Email. (Default: Task)

    You cannot add an E-mail activity if the SMTP server is not pre-configured.

  3. By default, "e-mail" appears as the Title. You can change the title as needed.
  4. In the To field, enter an inline value or select a variable.
  5. In the Subject and Body fields, enter a combination of plain text and variables.
  6. Select Add.

    The e-mail is added, and the updated properties are displayed in the properties panel.
