Configure generative AI classification for a solution

It is possible to enable generative AI classification when you create a solution. If a solution was created with a version of TotalAgility 2025.2 or older, then this setting is disabled by default.

The advantage of generative AI classification is that it does not require any training documents for classification. You do however, need to provide a description for each document type so the large language model is able to determine the classification of a document.

In most cases, generative AI classification is used in partnership with trainable classification. If those classifiers fail, then generative AI classification is performed. This is useful if the document is new and has few to no training documents.

Enable generative AI classification

If you did not enable generative AI classification when you created a solution, use this procedure to send your document to a large language model that determines classification.

Procedure

  1. Select the Settings menu on the ribbon.
  2. Select Classification.
  3. Configure the following settings.

    Enable generative AI classification

    Set to Yes. (Default: No)

    Number of pages

Enter the number of pages in a document that are sent for classification. (Default: 1)

  4. Save your solution.

Disable generative AI classification

Use this procedure to disable generative classification if you do not want to send your documents to a large language model that determines classification.

Procedure

  1. Select the Settings menu on the ribbon.
  2. Select Classification.
  3. Set Enable generative AI classification to No.
  4. Save your solution.
