Filing structure
The PSIsafe Desktop filing structure is a folder-centric filing system. For example, a "Client" cabinet has a folder for each client, a "Vendor" cabinet has a folder for each vendor, and so on.
PSIsafe Desktop enables you to set up the following work objects.
- Database
A separate installation of PSIsafe Desktop with its own users, templates, and other configuration information.
- Repository
A group of cabinets to which a user can have access rights.
- Cabinet
A group of folders with common folder index and tab structures to which a user can have access rights.
You can add as many cabinets as necessary to a single repository.
-
Folder
A group of documents with unique indexes filed under tabs, such as a client folder, a vendor folder, or a patient folder.
- Tab
Groups the documents within each folder. This is consistent within each folder of a given cabinet.
- Document
An individual document of any format, with a description filed in PSIsafe Desktop.
Defining your filing structure
Your basic filing structure and the governing organization scheme of your Repositories, Cabinets, Folders, and Tabs are all configured as a part of the onboarding process. Administrators continue this organization structure and implement changes and updates as needed.
