System passwords

As an administrator of the PSIsafe Desktop server and client infrastructure, it is your role to manage the system password connected to the built-in Administrator account.

To set up or change the system Administrator password:

The system administrator username is always Administrator.
  1. Launch the PSIsafe Desktop client or PSIsafe Management application and select System Settings from the gear icon.
    Alternatively, log into PSIsafe Management as the Administrator account and select System Settings.
  2. Select the System Passwords tab.
  3. Enter in the PSIsafe Desktop server address. This information can be found under Connection Configuration.
  4. Enter the default or current system password.
    Alternatively, with assistance from Tungsten Automation support, if you cannot access the current system password, a Password Key can be generated to reset the current password and create a new one through this process.
  5. Type in a new password.
  6. Select Reset to complete the password reset process for the built-in Administrator account.
