Edit folder rights

This section defines what the user/group selected can do when a folder has the chosen folder class. Each class may have a different group of access rights assigned, but each folder can have only one class assigned to it.

Folder rights define rights for a user/group within a folder in a cabinet. An unlimited number of rights can be assigned to a folder (as set up in Folder Classes) upon creation of the folder, or by editing the folder indexes and changing the sensitivity class. Non Sensitive is the default.

  1. Select the appropriate folder sensitivity class from the list on the left.
  2. Select the corresponding access rights on the right.

    • Preview: Allows the user to use preview in a folder.
    • View: Allows the user to view folder indexes.
    • Edit: Allows the user to change folder indexes.
    • Create: Allows the user to create a new folder.
    • Delete: Allows the user to delete a folder.
    • Lock: Allows the user to lock a folder and prevent other users from accessing it.

  3. Select folder export rights, allowing the user to export indexes or contents.

    • Index: The user only has the right to export indexes.
    • Contents: The user has the right to export the content of folders and indexes.

  4. Select folder transfer rights, allowing the user to copy or move folders to another cabinet if the cabinet is compatible.

    • Copy: The user only has the right to copy folders among cabinets.
    • Move: The user can move or copy folders between cabinets.

  5. To proceed to Step 2. Edit document rights, click Next.
  6. To finish and apply the changes, click Finish.
