Dictionaries and recognition
To improve recognition results, the RecoStar recognition page and zone profiles can use specific dictionaries to look for matching dictionary entries. Kofax TotalAgility provide a basic set of sample dictionaries especially for RecoStar. For example, if you select the sample US_ZIP dictionary, it provides assistance in recognizing Zip Codes on the document.
Additionally, you can create your own dictionaries.
Important The RecoStar recognition engine will be deprecated in the next release
of
Kofax TotalAgility.
As a result,
Kofax
recommends that you use the
OmniPage recognition profile for both page
and zone recognition for all new projects. If you have existing projects that
use one or more RecoStar profiles, it is also recommended that you modify those
projects to use a comparable OmniPage profile.
