These are the settings for the SQL or Oracle connection strings that are used by Kofax AP Agility.

The various database connection strings are entered here and can be used for the various purposes. For example, you can use the database connection strings defined here as follows.

• Export to database

• Database lookups

It is possible to add multiple entries for these settings. As a result, the settings are displayed in a table.

You can add additional table rows as necessary.

The following column settings are available.

Name

A short name that references the connection string for your database connection.

Connection String

The connection string for the SQL connection group ID. Once the connection string is added, the password is masked so that other users cannot see the password.

When entering the connection string, it is not possible to use a password that is five asterisks only. This is because this same string is used to represent a masked password whenever the connection string is displayed.

Used

If the database is used by AP Agility, the value for this setting is set to YES and you cannot delete the database. Otherwise, the value is set to NO and you can delete that database.

The following buttons are available at the bottom of the window.

Edit

Opens a selected entry in the table so that you can make changes as needed.

Click to open the Database Connection Settings - Edit window .

Add

Adds an entry to the table.

Click to open the Database Connection Settings - New window.

Test

Click to test the selected database connection. The test results are displayed so that you can edit the settings and then test again if necessary.

Delete

This button is available only if the selected connection string is no longer used.
