Database Connection Settings - New window
When you open the Bill-To Formats and then click Add, or select a table entry and then click Copy, all editable fields from the Database Connection are displayed. This enables you to either add a new database connection or copy an existing database connection.
The following settings are available.
- Name

A short name that references the connection string for your database connection.
- Connection String

The connection string for the SQL connection group ID. Once the connection string is added, the password is masked so that other users cannot see the password.
When entering the connection string, it is not possible to use a password that is five asterisks only. This is because this same string is used to represent a masked password whenever the connection string is displayed.
The following buttons are available at the bottom of the window.
- Save

Saves your changes and the window is closed.
- Cancel
-
Cancels your changes and the window is closed.
In addition to the above buttons, there is also a Test button. Click on this button to test the connection string before adding it to your list.
