General tab - Project Settings window

You can use the General tab to configure commonly used features such as online learning, automatic rotation, and the use of the Thin Clients.

This tab has the following settings groups:

• Rotation

• Monitoring

• Color Conversion to Black and White

• Online Learning

• Scripting

The following buttons are available at the bottom of this window:

Button	Description
OK	Closes the window and saves your changes.
Cancel	Closes the window without saving your changes.
Help	Displays the help for the open window.

Rotation

This group has the following settings:

Enable automatic rotation for

If scanned images are inverted or sideways, you can configure your project to rotate the images automatically to their correct position. You can enable automatic rotation to be performed during one or both of the following:

• Full text recognition

  Rotates images automatically when full text recognition is performed on a document. (Default: Selected)

• Layout Classifier

  Rotates images automatically when a document is processed using the Layout Classifier. (Default: Cleared)

Monitoring

This group has the following setting:

Save field property change history

Any changes made to field properties during extraction are recorded and available in the Extraction Results and the XDoc Browser. (Default: Cleared)

Selecting this setting may increase processing times. As a result, it is recommended to select this setting if you are interested in the field results only.

Color Conversion to Black and White

This group has the following settings:

Contrast sensitivity

Increases or decreases the ability to detect subtle differences in shading when a color image is converted to black and white. (Default: 3)

Noise sensitivity

Increases or decreases the amount of noise correction applied to the black and white image when it is converted from a color image. (Default: 3)

Online Learning

This group has the following settings:

Enable Online Learning

Allows users and scripts to mark documents for online learning. (Default: Cleared)

Advanced

Available only if Enable Online Learning is selected.

Opens the Advanced Online Learning Options window.

Scripting

This group has the following settings:

Auto export scripts

When selected, all scripts are exported and saved in a folder called <ProjectName>_Scripts alongside the .fpr project file. (Default: Selected)

These files are overwritten each time you save your project.
