Set a document set as the classification training set
Use the procedure in this topic to set a document set as the Classification Set.
If you have a document set that contains documents that are more appropriate or suitable for classification training, you can convert that document set to be the Classification Set. This can occur if you import a training set from another project that has similar classification.
When you convert a document set to the Classification Set, this document set is attached to the project automatically, and the old Classification Set is converted to a Test Set and is no longer attached to the project. This means the next time you open your project, the new Classification Set is displayed in the Documents window and the other document set is no longer displayed, unless you save its reference manually.
Procedure
- Open the Documents window if it is not already open.

Select the document set that you are making the new Classification Set, right-click and then select
Use as Classification Training Set on the shortcut menu.
The document set icon changes to indicate that it is now the Classification Set.
- Optional. Exclude one or more document subsets in your new Classification Set from the training set.
