Define the default classification result

Use the procedure in this topic to define the default class.

If a document cannot be classified using any of the specified classifiers, you can force the document into a default classification. Define a default class in case extraction is necessary, even if classification fails. Once you set the default class, the class icon Default Class icon in the Project Tree changes.

Procedure

  1. On the Project tab, in the Configuration group, select Project Settings Project Settings icon.
  2. Select the Classification tab to view the classification settings.
  3. In the Classification Settings group, select the class to use from the Default classification result list.

Any documents that cannot be classified using your classification settings are assigned the default class as their classification result automatically.

The class icon changes to indicate that it is the default class.

  4. Test your changes by performing classification with a group of test documents.
